By plane

Alderney is easily reached by air, with daily direct flights operated by Aurigny.  The island is just a 30-minute flight from Southampton and only 15 minutes from Guernsey. Travelers from other parts of the UK or Europe can connect via Guernsey for onward flights to Alderney.

By Sea

While Braye Harbour does not accept mooring reservations, it offers 70 yellow visitor mooring buoys as well as anchorage areas sheltered by the island’s impressive 1,430-metre historic breakwater.

Facilities at Braye Harbour include fuel, water, showers, toilets, laundry services, engineering support, and a chandlery. Additional anchorages can be found around the island at Saye, Longis Bay, Telegraph Bay, and Hannaine Bay. These do not offer facilities and are only safe in calm weather or when winds are offshore.

If sailing near Alderney—especially around Burhou Island—please respect the voluntary ‘Puffin Friendly Zone,’ established to help protect the island’s puffin population. Mariners are kindly asked to observe this conservation area.

Harbour Master and Coastguard are located at the Harbour Master’s Office, at the SW end of the harbour.

A water taxi runs throughout the summer months.
